Eligibility
Check out the eligibility requirements below to
make sure you're ready to attend AJ2022.
Eligibility is subject to change and contingent discretion.
Scout
-
Must be a current registered Scout section youth member at the time of application and through until at least January 14 2022

Must have met the requirements, before October 31 2021, for either:
-
Program Essentials Milestone 1, as well as Outdoor Adventure Skills Stage 3 in Bushcraft, Bushwalking, and Camping; OR
-
the Pioneer Badge
-

-
Must have completed ten nights camping in the outdoors with the Unit or Patrol, as a Scout. Three of those nights must be consecutive and camping with family or school is not considered.

Have approval from the Unit Council
​
-
Have approval from the Contingent Leader
​
-
Have consent from their parents/guardian
​
-
Not have had their 15th birthday before the opening day of the Jamboree (i.e. under 15 years old on January 3 2022)
Rover
-
Must be a current registered Rover Scout member at the time of application and through until at least January 14 2022
​
-
Be 18 years of age before the opening day of the Jamboree (i.e. 18 on January 2 2022)
​
-
Must hold evidence of meeting the legislative requirements to work with children in your home jurisdiction (or State/Territory)
​
-
Have completed either the:
-
Program Essentials Introduction to Section for Rover Scouts, as well as Outdoor Adventure Skills Stage 3 in each of Bushcraft, Bushwalking, and Camping; OR
-
Squire Training badge
-

-
Have completed compulsory eLearning modules (BCORE – Child Safe & WHS)
​
-
Be recommended by their Unit Council as being of excellent character, a good role model to younger Youth Members, and have the skills and abilities to undertake the activity (or other tasks) nominated on the application form
​

Be approved by the Contingent Leader
​
-
Be ready to cope with the physical requirements of the event.
International

Venturer
-
Must be a current registered Venturer Scout youth member at the time of application and through until at least January 14 2022
​

Must meet the age requirements set by the Branch Contingent Leader before the opening of the Jamboree (for example be 16 on January 2 2022 or other branch requirement)
​

If the Venturer turns 18 years old at any point during the Jamboree, must hold evidence of meeting the legislative requirements to work with children in your home jurisdiction (or State/Territory)

Have completed either the:
-
Program Essentials Introduction to Section for Venturer Scouts, as well as Outdoor Adventure Skills Stage 3 in each of Bushcraft, Bushwalking, and Camping; OR
-
Venturer Skills Award
-

Have a desire to do active community involvement, in this case supporting the Scout section
​

Be recommended by the Unit Council as being of excellent character, a good role model to Scouts, and have the skills and abilities to undertake the activity (or other tasks) nominated on the application form

Be approved by their Contingent Leader

Have consent of their parents/guardian
Leader
-
Must be a registered member of a Scouts Australia Branch at the time of application and through till January 14 2022

Must hold evidence of meeting the legislative requirements to work with children in your home jurisdiction (or State/Territory)

Hold a Certificate of Adult Appointment as at September 30 2021 and through until at least January 14 2022
​

Have completed compulsory e-Learning modules (BCORE – Child Safe & WHS)

Be recommended by their line manager

Be approved by the Contingent Leader

Be ready to cope with the physical requirements of the event.
Other Adult
-
Must be a registered member of a Scouts Australia Branch at the time of application and through till January 14 2022

Must hold evidence of meeting the legislative requirements to work with children in your home jurisdiction (or State/Territory)

Hold a Certificate of Adult Membership as at September 30 2021 and through until at least January 14 2022
​

Have completed compulsory e-Learning modules (BCORE – Child Safe & WHS)

Be recommended by their line manager

Be approved by the Contingent Leader

Be ready to cope with the physical requirements of the event.
